About this Class
From making perfect sushi rice everytime, to excellent rolling technique, Yuki will lead you through the basics of making sushi for yourself. Recipes are taken from Yuki’s book Sushi at Home, carefully written to give you simple techniques and tips, for enjoying this wonderful dish.
After booking your class space, you will receive an email containing the Zoom meeting link, alongside a guide with the recipes and ingredients you will need. In the guide, there’ll also be class specific guidance for preparation or alternative ingredients. Following the guide will make sure you’re ready to enjoy the class.
Most ingredients can be bought locally, such as everyday groceries and vegetables. Yuki has chosen recipes for this series, that do not require hard to find, specialist ingredients or unique kitchen equipment. That said, Japanese food does rely on a few core ingredients and you will need the odd jar of miso, dried shiitake mushroom or bottle of soya sauce. Once bought these core Japanese ingredients can be kept in store for use again and future classes.
Specialist kit is not normally required. However, you might need to order-in a sushi rolling mat for example.
